Thank God for ROMO!!!!!!

So after four long weeks and three pathetic games the Cowboys may finally get back to looking like a playoff contender. Tony Romo is returning Sunday night in Washington for their game against the division rival the redskins. As important as Romo's return to the offense is I beleive that the return of Terrance Newman on defense is just as vital. Newman has been out most of the year with an abdomen injury and will be making the start. Along with Romo and Newman, Felix Jones and Jason Whitten will be coming back. Whitten had played the last two games with fractured ribs but reports are that he has healed up nicely. I think that the rest of the NFL will get a reminder of just how dangerous the Cowboys are this weekend when they beat the skins in impressive fashion. 31-17 Cowboys over the Skins

It's only going to get worse!!!

After a over time loss to the Arizona Cardinals last week the Dallas Cowboys have now lost again and this time to the St. Louis Rams. Injuries have played a big part in the Cowboys performance of late. Cornerback Terrance Newman, Running Back Felix Jones, Safety Roy Williams, and of course QB Tony Romo have all suffered injuries that have either ended their season or will cause them to miss substancial time. However, those injuries do not excuse the fact that the defense gave up 160 yards and three touchdowns to Steven Jackson. Right now the Cowboys look like a team that has no sense of "togetherness" and until they remember how to play like the team from last year then I am afraid that the losses are going to keep piling up. I am predicting that Tampa Bay will come to Dallas this weekend and win 34-24.

After Week 5

So after the loss to the Redskins, which should have never happend, the Cowboys played the Bengals on Sunday and were able to squeeze a victory out with a 31-22 win. With Romo looking like he has forgotten how to throw a football the game was put into the hands of Marion Barber and the rookie Felix Jones to run the football. They combined for over 170 yards rushing and one TD. Next on the schedule is a trip to Arizona to play the up and down Arizona Cardinals.

3-0 Record

So after a little nail biter on Monday against the Eagles (41-37) the Cowboys returned to the field Sunday night against one of the so called "best teams in the NFC." Although the final score of 27-16 would maybe indicate a close game that is far from the truth. After a shaky first half, Romo and the boys came out in the second half and exhibited their unstoppable offensive ability.

This weekend the Cowboys will host the Redskins and I am predicting another Win to go 4-0 with a score of 35 -20 Dallas.

Week 1

My name is Timothy Purvis and I live in Henderson, NC. This is my initial post on this blog that is related to the Dallas Cowboys. As many of you know today is the first day of the NFL season and my cowboys will be taking on the Cleveland Browns in Cleveland this afternoon. I beleive there is no doubt in anyone's mind that follows football that the Cowboys will win this game. I know that everyone out there is not a Cowboys fan and I would love to know who your favorite team is and how you think they will do this season.
